My 60gb SSD is getting close to being Full??!

So my OCZ Agility III SSD is getting close to full - 60gb only I know.

But I only used it as a boot drive, so just windows 7 64bit.

BUT some programs I installed like windows messenger and such, NEVER gave me an option to save to my 'E:\" DRIVE which is my storage 500gb drive, so the drive kept slowly getting filled.

NOW, it's almost full, and it seem like every day it's losing more space I don't know how, since I save 99.9% programs to my backup E:\ drive and such.

Am I doing something wrong or missing something here? And why did somethings I installed NEVER give me an option to do a custom install to direct the save folder to my backup E:\ directory? or did it and I'm just blind + stupid?

thank you, reps to all who respond.

Disable hibernation and move the page file if you want. If you do not want to move it is ok, but I did and saved about 5GB.

When asking where to download stuff from Chrome or something like that? If that is your issue, just go to options and then Under the Hood.

I also really like this guide. It has some SSD tweaks too.

If you move your page file to the HDD you might as well disable it. The better option would be to shrink it. Check Sean's guide to find out how.

Agreed with changing your default downloads folder. Also, make sure to redirect all of your "libraries" to your E drive. By default, docs, music, videos, and pictures are set to the C drive. Lots of things "automatically" get saved to their respective library if you're not mindful,

Don't forget to empty your recycle bin too... smile.gif

Where do you change the dload destination and disalbe hibernation and such?

I always cahnge the dowload folder to E:\ whatever (my backup drive) but sometimes it never gave me the optioon and such. I think for windows live messenger specifically or yahoo cuz it uses this weird installer and just goes straight into the download.

AND freaking Origin and BF3! I put the options to my E DRIVE and crap, it it KEEPS DOWNLOADING TO THE DDAMN C:\ DRIVE! and when I move the "origin games/bf3" folder which has the 11.0+gb of BF3 dATA to my mechanical E:\ drive, it DOESNT WORK!!!

i KNOW IT's not suppose to, since my main is SSD and the backup is mechanical but It refuses to downoad there!!! So thats taking up like 11+ gb!!!! mad.gif

Origin is looking for that folder use the command in cmd: mklink /d "Origin folder location" "Destination folder location" to the new location of the folder. Make sure to use the quotes that command will make a symbiotic link, and the computer won't even know that the folder is somewhere else. I did this for my program files, it helped keep my 128GB drive from being full.

Use Steam Mover to move stuff too. (It's not just for games)

To change your destination folder I need to know what browser you're using ?

Here is the chrome:

WRENCH -> Options -> Under the Hood -> Downloads: Downloads Destination
