GTX285 no video signal at post - Page 2

Did you resolve the problem? If so, how? Though I'm not running Rampage Formula, I'm having the same issue with my GTX285 now. It has been on and off in the past but starting about a week ago, it stopped working completely. It is not sending signal to the monitor. Nothing has changed on my system.

The resolution was to pair it with the motherboard it worked with. I could not get it to work with my motherboard at the time, but it worked perfectly fine in an older P35 motherboard I had dedicated as an HTPC build (and later a budget gaming rig for my brother).

Unfortunately, there is no way to tell if your card will react the same way or not, short of buying different motherboards second hand. I do not recommend doing that, as the money spent towards trying to get a dinosaur of a GPU to work, could be spent towards buying a much newer used GPU that will blow the GTX285 out of the water.

Cheers!

I just had same problem with my old GTX 285, that I had to install to replace my sold GTX 770. I had not used my GTX 285 for years, but I knew it worked, so I just installed it and it worked fine. Then last week after 2-3 days use it started having driver issues and stopped completly. I could not boot into windows unless it was in safe mode, and safe mode was not easy to get to - took several tries rebooting after a CMOS and only one stick of RAM. Then I changed to an earlier driver version and it has worked well since.

Maybe that could do the trick?
