[COMPLETED] i5 750 + EVGA P55 FTW

Don't see too many 1156 setups on here these days, so I need a little help pricing this one. I most likely won't be selling it on here (right now at least). I'm more trying to decide a fair price to ask from a friend to see if it fits his budget. So, as title says, I have an i5 750 that is OCed to 4.0 with the EVGA P55 FTW which is water-cooled as shown in sig rig. Does 4.0 @ 1.352 Vcore, 1.2 VTT, and 1.8 PLL. P95 brings temps to ~65-70 with what I suspect is a bad seating. I swear they were better before I remounted last time.

Here are some links for specs:

Hmm... my 760 + board got appraised at about 250 a few months back. I would say that somewhere in that general area would be more than fair to sell for.

Personally I think that figure is low, I wouldn't feel bad selling that in a bundle for around 275+ tbh but since everyone has a SB obsession lynnfield is a bit harder to sell. On here you'd get less than you would through ebay or craigs, most likely. Just putting that out there.

Yeah after a bit of searching through appraisals, I see that's about the going price. His budget for mobo+ram+cpu would be about $250, so it's not quite there. Also, I agree with you. I feel like this hardware is worth more, mostly because it's still serving my gaming needs plenty well. So instead of dropping some coin on a SB upgrade I don't need, I think I'll look into setting him up with a cheaper and more practical 2400 rig instead. He's not an OCer anyway, so that would just be one more thing to worry about if I passed this on to him. Thanks for the help, Preston.

+rep and marking complete since I found my answer already.

Yup, the theoretical improvements SB brings were convincing me but then I realized that there isn't a single thing I do or game I play that I can't/couldn't handle beautifully with this setup. I was in no way CPU limited and I am still not.

Even if IB knocks one out of the park and performs 15-20% better than SB I'll have a hard time being convinced... Lynnfield is just too good of a performer for me to shelf it so soon.
