Trying to overclock my 2500K with the MSI Z68A-G43 with no luck, any help?

Thread Starter
I bought this combo because I was told overclocking was as simply as changing the multiplier value, however I have done so in every way I can think of, and my CPU continues to run at 3300mhz. I'm not sure what I might be doing wrong in the options. Here are the overclock settings it says I currently have:

CPU base Freq: 10000
Adjust CPU Ratio: 42
Adjust CPU ratio in OS: Enabled
Internal PLL Overvoltage: Auto
EIST: Enabled
Inter Turbo Boost: Enabled
OC Genie Button Operation: Disabled
DRAM Freq: Auto
Extreme Mem Profile: Disabled
DRAM Timing Mode: Auto

I'm not sure how the OC Genie works or if it is something I should be using, but I'd appreciate any help getting this thing running at at least 4200, hopefully higher.

Set the core current like so:
Quote:
For MSI Mobo's

I'm having the same problem. Do I have to go into the BIOS to do it? I don't have a button on my motherboard.
