H80 Question... Problem?

Thread Starter
I plugged my fans into the heatsync part... And it's like they are running on the low setting permanently and no matter how many times I set it on high... The fan speeds don't change. Ideas?

Get a fan controller and bypass the board? Board mostlikely is locking you out, or the fans have to high a draw.

Well I have an H80 and the fans run on low no matter the setting until the liquid gets warm then they throttle based on what your push button settings are.

That or your fan controller board in the pump housing is fragged.

You can try resetting the firmware on your H80.
To reset the firmware, use the following procedure:

1. While the computer is running, hold down the profile button for approximately five seconds
2. Wait one minute, while the unit continues to run
3. Shut down your computer
4. Press and hold the profile button for five seconds while turning on the power to your computer.

I'll try the firmware reset when I get home. I ended up just plugging the fans into the mobo and they ran at full speed. I'm pretty satisfied with the performance. Currently have an i5 at 4.4ghz and it stays at 58-60 under full load with prime. Better than I expected (I think.?)
