Creative Recon3d?

Thread Starter
I am building a new computer and have bought the Corsair H100 CPU cooler, 8GB 1600Mhz Ram, Crucial M4 128GB SSD, and CoolerMaster Haf 912 CPU case, all that my Sister Purchased for me and will be brining it to India when she departs from there. She lives in the US and I am in India. CPU,motherboard and Graphics cards are yet to be decided and bought in India from some shops far, maybe core i5 2500K. That's not the problem.

I have a Tritton AX Pro headset and am not being able to use it for the past 4 months since I bought it coz the realtek sound chip on my old board suckzz. I looked to upgrade my sound card, but couldn't find a good deal here in India. While Asus's sound cards are good and stable, they lack some surround sound features. Creative's X-Fi sound cards, though having all those features are ridden with driver bugs. It was that time when I came to know the news of Creative announcing to release the Soundcore 3D Chips, and am now clearly sure that they will do off with those Driver problems.

I can't buy the sound card from here coz all the dealers nearby are dumb and they still are selling Core 2 Duos as their latest products.

I was searching for the release of that sound card, and know the release of the USB card of that lineup last month. But I want a PCIe sound card and I waited. Later it was announced that Creative is to unveil their PCIe cards soon starting with a PCIe vanilla one for 99$ and a PCIe fatal1ty Professional for 150$. I was looking to get the Fatal1ty Professional, and only in the case it isn't available but the normal one is available, I would go for the Vanilla one.

Then I came across the sound card at newegg.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16829102042

On 29th november, it was stated that the cards were for release on December 1st. Then when I came in December 1st, it was first shown releasing on dec 1st, coz I am in a different time zone, and just four hours later, it was out of stock. It never regained to be in stock, and a day ago, it was put sold out and has the current statistic. When I inquired creative about it, they said that the card was not yet released and they won't disclose the release date.

And then I found it on amazon too

http://www.amazon.com/Creative-Blaster-Recon3D-Fatal1ty-SB1356/dp/B00654PTT2/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1323267243&sr=8-2

Now I am sure it is releasing on or before december 16 ( but a little confused over the december 1st release date put at newegg ). I was able to confirm this through another site which also displayed the same release date, seaboom I think, I don't remember the name.

My sister Lives in the US in Miamisburg. She is returning to India this month and will depart 16th evening from there. Her house is close to a Microcenter shop.
But the thing is, I am in need of that card and my sister is departing december 16 evening, meaning she should get the card at december 16 morning at the delayed latest. Is there any way I could get the card. Any of the cards, PCIe vannilla, Fata1ty Professional or Champion( I don't know if champion is releasing soon ) is OK for me, while Professional should be a better choice over the other two. My sister lives at Miamisburg, and is there any shop nearby within a 45 minute drive where she could pre-order it on dec 11th or 12th or sometime like that get it bought in store on december 16th or more favourably, december 15th (coz I don't know the exact release date, but is on or before 16th of this month ) or earlier?

Last month, I saw a post of someone getting a Asus Rampage IV extreme on Nov 12th, 2 days before it's release at a micro center store. That's why I mentioned about Microcenter being close.

Is there any possibility of her being able to buy it for me when she arrives here.

If she goes and preorders at microcenter store nearby or at any other good PC electronic store nearby, will it be available on 16th or earlier so she can go and get it before she departs? Is there any fair chance of my sister getting the sound card for me?

I am not worried about paying a premium over the 150$ tag for getting it earlier.

Please I want to know if there is a way she can get the sound card for me.

Note: Well, I am not changin my decision over Recon3d. Just because a specific line of their cards suffered a problem, we can't ditch that brand forever. Just think of all the innovatives that creative bought back in the day. I am sticking with the Recon3d IMHO.

So what's the question ?

Also why have you posted the exact same thread in two sections 1 of which is completely irrelevant.

Also for headphones surround sound capabilities should not be necessary.

Sir, I too thought like that and bought the headset. It was only later that It supported a lot of surround capabilities.
It has 3 speakers on each cuff sir. and provides true 5.1 Surround sound ( although not as much as a surround speaker system would provide ).

It aint just the 5.1 Output. I might be myself getting a Hometheater next year, and those THX effects from the Creative Recon3d would be helpful.
Please don't get angry on me. I wasn't expecting recommendations, I just wanted to know if I could get the sound card. Hope you have understood the situation I am facing through my first post on this thread.

Thank you.

THX effects will not do anything for your optical/coax output to receiver. The receiver is going to be doing all the decoding.

Why don't you just get the titanium hd? It is better than the "quad" sound card creative is pushing.
