Will more RAM affect my CPU usage?

Thread Starter
Yes, I hate myself for asking this dumb question, but will adding additional RAM to my setup lower the CPU usage?

I've already determined that 4 ram is sufficient to run my processes, even going to resource monitor to see if there are any hard faults.
And I also realize that RAM simply allows more processes to be run simultaneously BUT, I'm on an 2.8Ghz Six-Core and I am still having issues when I broadcast. I checked Task Manager when the program to broadcast is up, it's sitting at 75%+ of my CPU usage.

It'd be a burden off my mind if I knew for a fact that there is either nothing I can do aside from getting a new processor, or that simply getting more RAM will fix this.

Also, would upgrading my video card help this?

What program are you referring to?

The answer to your question is most likely no, if it needs to use the CPU it will do so regardless of RAM.

At what percent is your RAM usage in task manager when you're broadcasting?

It's not likely to make a difference to your CPU usage at all, if an app demands your cpu cycles it will use them.
