Why worry about that when you should be worrying about them crashing your door down an taking you in for questioning!

As for the capitalization I was on my Xoom earlier. On a KBM I have a bad habit of hitting the shift key.

You can own rights to distribute or otherwise commercialize information but information itself which includes every piece of software and media cannot be owned. You cant steal something that you cant own. If it were made a crime to download intellectual property from an illegal distributer it would set a precedent for literally owning what people think and charging them for it.

You are buying a license to use said software/media. I am well aware you don't actually own it.

Rape, DWI, Drugs, Murder, Embezzlement, Pirating are all crimes, while their natures may be different the end result is someone ends up hurt either physically, psychologically, or financially.

A criminal is a criminal and thus a scumbag, does not matter what he did.

Recording a song off the radio on your cassette tape isn't a crime. Get over yourself. No one is going to go to jail for sharing their mixtape with someone else. Sharing it physically or digitally makes no difference.

You cant "buy" a license either, license as such is a contract between distributer and customer. Contracts are voluntary.

And if you download it off a torrent that's what Distribution right, I mean you are Uploading to others while you download. Now its on your HDD thats reproduction of the original source.
