Can't merge two partitions? - Page 2

I think the problem is that the 2 partitions are not adjacent to one another. You will likely have to delete the D, move the C to the beginning of the Disk, then expand G to occupy the rest of the space.

Seriously though, I think Rado hit the mark. However I have no idea how you would have to move the partitions around. At least not without a complete reformat

Right I see. How exactly would I go about doing that? Does that mean I have to reformat?

Delete the first data partition, expand C: into the space, shrink the end of C:, make a new partition or expand the last partition into the unallocated space.

I hope you've figured it out by now -- I'm a bit late on catching up on forum reading, but...

That screen shot is confusing: Under pending operations it shows creating Partition G on Disk 1. That indicates that that action has not yet been applied ... it's still pending. Yet the screen shot shows that there is 70 MB of data on that partition. How can there be data there already if the partition actually has not yet been created?

Similar to a filing cabinet, the filesystem itself does take up space. EaseUS Partition Master is probably predicting the amount of space.
