[TechCrunch] HP Is Reviving The $99 TouchPad Firesale! Refurb Models To Hit HP’s Ebay Store On 12/11 - Page 4

For those of you overseas, better start looking into forwarding companies. Places inside the US that will export your goods to your country. There is one in NY but I forgot the name of it.

It's for those of you that want to buy US goods, but can't buy them because you're from outside the US.

cheap because they're not making them anymore and want to cut their losses, and because it's refurb.

I own a Touchpad (paid $190 for the 32GB) and I must say, webOS is very nice. I don't see myself upgrading to android anytime soon, webOS is very fast and does everything you would expect a tablet to do. The Touchpad is so good, I went ahead and spent over $60 on accessories. Great device, hopefully people who need them will get them.

I bought the 32GB for $170 after tax here in Canada. I actually loved WebOS a lot and didn't bother installing android on it..... Until I got sick of having to convert videos on my computer so that I could watch them in WebOS. I currently have CM7.1 Alpha 3 on it and its amazing!!!! It's overclocked to 1.7GHz, so as a dual core it flies!! For me it is working perfectly, the only flaw is that some apps don't recognize the hardware?? so some apps don't work. These were Need For Speed Shift and Asphalt 6 HD. Other than that I have had no problems! Another bonus is sharing apps with my android phone! With the recent $0.10 sale in the android marketplace, I'm filling my devices up with awesome paid apps! I'd suggest getting 2 from the sale tomorrow. One for you, and one for me so I can give them to my tech savvy family members as awesome Christmas presents. I'll pay whatever you did, plus shipping, just shoot me a pm if you are kind enough biggrin.gif Also the battery life at 1.7GHz is still great, I go 2 days at a time with the wifi on 24/7. Any other questions about my experience, feel free to ask!

I received the email about this on Thursday. I was going to say something, but I had no viable source to link so I didn't bother. WebOS is also being released to the open-source community shortly as well.

I got a 16gb for $99 in the original firesale. Never quite fitted my taste especially when I found out that you can't even compose documents on it. Tablets arn't my thing in general so I turned around and sold that baby for $200 biggrin.gif
