Razer blackwidow ultimate stealth worth it?

Thread Starter
Would it really be worth it to get the Razer Blackwidow Ultimate Stealth edition over the normal Ultimate? I could get the normal Ultimate edition for $100, or the stealth for $140. (USD) Do you think that extra $40 is really worth it?

I don't. I'd just get a regular blackwidow and keep the change.

The question is whether you think its worth it. There's not that much difference if any and their whole "anti-ghosting" feature is pretty much useless since they already set arrays of 3-5 that you wont overlap. If youre not set on features/aesthetic look of the blackwindow then you can opt out for several other brands of mechanical keyboards and if you do want full n-key rollover which is better then "anti-ghosting" then check out > http://www.overclock.net/t/491752/mechanical-keyboard-guide

$40 = Quiter key strokes. I haven't tried it yet.

I had the normal Razer Blackwidow Ultimate for less than a week. After typing at night with family asleep my wife would wake up from the tapping. I do type harder than most. It did feel better on the mechanical however.

I'd love to give the 'Stealth' a try. My local Fry's Electronics dosen't carry the Stealth yet. I suggest you go to any store that might have it set up for display and give'em a trial run before purchase of any keyboards.

To me if it was noticeably quiter the extra $40 would be worth it. To each his own. smile.gif

I use the Stealth edition and I found it was worth the price difference for the quieter typing. I also put o-rings under each key and now it's even a bit quieter, it's awesome. smile.gif

The brown switches on the Stealth Edition do obviously feel different than the blue switches on the standard BlackWidow and Ultimate. I rally would suggest trying to give each a test run before you buy...I'll admit, I blindly jumped in to try both switches so I had both boards at one point, but in the end I think I found me sweet spot with the Stealth ^^

Lol, if the loud clicking is a problem then you should buy it. After a while, you stop noticing the clicking noises and enjoy the use of the amazing keyboard.
