Netgear N900 + BF3 problems

Hi everyone,
First time poster, long time lurker. I recently picked up a Netgear N900 router along with a Trendnet 450/450 bridge. Compared to my old setup, Linksys E4200 paired with a Netgear repeater/bridge, speeds were a bit faster and seemed to be more consistent.

However, I continually would timeout from server in BF3. It seemed to be random and could happen anywhere between 1 minute of play and 10 minutes of play. Figuring it was the bridge, I switched back the Netgear repeater wired to the ethernet port. Sure enough, problem continued.

Last night I went back to the E4200 which is still a great router but I like the better range of the N900. After about 20 minutes of play, no dropouts.

So I've narrowed the problem down to the N900. Every google search I do ends up with somebody saying "Disable UPnP." However, that is not realistic for me and I will not do it as several devices in my house take advantage of it. The E4200 has UPnP enabled and there is not a hiccup...

Any ideas on what I could do to alleviate the problem and enjoy the N900? My router is in the basement and I am on the 4th floor. Wiring via Cat5/6 is not going to happen. My wireless signal is great with either router; it is a tad better with the N900 though. I download from Speedtest with a ping of ~6-9ms and 50-60down/10 up. I don't think this has anything to do with the router signal dropping. It has to be some sort of setting?

Thanks!

I'm not really a gamer and it sure sounds like a setting issue. I have a friend who games alot and have often overheard him talk about port forwarding the game server's port. That's about the extent of my experience on that so i'll leave this for the game braines on this but would like to welcome you to OCN friend.
