The Apogee HD 24k Gold Limited Edition is finally Here!

Treat yourself or a loved one for Christmas to one of only 302 made 24K gold plated Apogee HD's.

Due to the limited quantity available, only a handful of resellers worldwide will have these blocks for sale.

Specifications:

The Housing and fittings (1/2" barbs) are made of mirror polished brass, and plated with real 24k gold. They will never tarnish.

All dimensions, thermal and hydraulic characteristics remain unchanged compared to the Apogee HD.

Retention hardware is included for:

- Intel socket 1155, 1366, and socket 2011.

Retention hardware for AMD shipped for free upon request (copy of invoice req'd)

Can gold suffer from the same issues as nickel plating? I'm guessing it can if there exposure to the copper?

But gold can be plated on very thin, and will not interfere significantly with heat transfer. It's also much more inert than nickel.
Question is, is it plated on the inside?

My waterblock is internally gold plated, and I can pull full load temps down to 42C...
