i am going to admit i am wrong.

i think this argument is about you misunderstanding what i meant behind what i said.

in the video it refers to it as theory and this is what i was referring to.

im sure think i was meaning hypothesis and yes if i was talking about their ideas behind it you would be correct.

i am however referring to how the said theory in the video.

we are both right.

truce?

Truce. I always have a bone to pick with pop-sci videos like that. They do well enough to get the point across., but they're never completely accurate.

EDIT: Wrong quote

i was wondering the same thing. i have heard so many ideas to terraform the planet only to hear now that there isnt a large possibility of air there? and the gravity issue as well. i think mars is out for colonization but the new planet Kepler 22-b would be our best option.

an article here, suggests that we could inhabit mars underground as the pressure on mars' surface is too low to support liquid water.

this brings up another thought... could there be life under mars' surface? it seams plausible after reading all of these articles lol

assuming it has the same composition as earth you'd weigh 14 times on its surface of what you weigh on earth tongue.gif not a fun place to be

i think by the time we have the technology to actually reach a habitable planet we will have had the technology to perpetually sustain ourselves just floating around in space anyway so theres no need. Personally i'd be more interested in exotic custom built celestial bodys like a giant ring around a star or a planet shaped like a massive pair of tits drool.gif

Your avatar makes it hard to answer correctly. Colonizing Mars is more of a fantasy. We're more likely to repair the damage we've done to Earth than try and flourish on Mars. It would be a good inner solar system base though.
