Perhaps you could explain why you believe Frosty Tech's accurate, objective, scientific HSF testing "looks and feels 3rd world"? Do you actually understand how proper scientific testing is suppose to be conducted?

please explain....
after browsing through the air cool forums the last few weeks, I would like to know what kind of cooler you use/makes YOU happy. I dont see anything listed for what type of computer you have.
And I dont think constant links to frostytech really provide true proper scientific test methodology.

Another "personal thread" when someone don't like the message...

What PC's I use has nothing to do with the info. and links I post. I use reputable test site data. Frosty Tech, AnandTech, Tom's Hardware, etc. are all well respected PC websites by knowledgeable PC enthusiasts. Trying to relate my PCs to the posts I make is like saying the model car I drive determines if tires are made of rubber or not. There is no direct relationship - and making it personal changes nothing.

Frosty Tech has forgotten more about proper test methodology than many sites combined will ever know. Obviously if you have no professional training in proper test methodology you are unlikely to be able to differentiate good test data from bad and there is plenty of bad data and "knowledge" perpetuated as fact online and in real life. That's why proper, Objective testing is so valuable: It separates fact from fiction.

BTW, hating on the messenger does not change the test data or reality so don't bother making the comments personal. Stick to the subject matter.

As far as coolers I have numerous models on a variety of PCs but that doesn't change anything either...

In regards to the "best" HSF - the answer is it depends. The only way a person could know for sure what is the best HSF as far as thermal efficiency is concerned - for THEIR PC case and hardware, is to test the top ten or so HSFs in THEIR PC case. In reality the top ~10 HSFs all test within a couple degrees C of each other so pick the one that makes you happy and enjoy it. thumb.gif
