I get the Blue Screen Of Death at random times. According to this page: http://www.astahost.com/info/tifdpm-bsod-error.html The error code im getting "IRQL_NOT_LESS_EQUAL" means this:

"Stop Code: STOP 0x0000000A

IRQL_NOT_LESS_EQUAL

Code Meaning : Faulty device drivers, or services from backup

utilities or virus scanners

Recommended Resolution: Remove, disable or stop the offending

drivers, backup utilities or anti-virus programs. Get updated

software from the manufacturer."

How do I isolate and find the offending Driver or Service to remove it??

Type "msconfig" in the search box to select "selective startup" or enable the services one by one until you identify which is giving you the error.

Or run Windows Update if there's an update for the device.

Do you think a clean install would fix the issue? I dont mind a clean install. But should i run memtest86 just to rule out the memory first??

If you don't feel like chasing your tail and can do a clean install quickly, do it.

When I get a strange problem that has generic symptoms like that, fresh install is the quickest fix sometimes. If it persists after a fresh install, but before you've loaded additional software, then you know you have a hardware problem.

Yeah I think I'll clean install, it'll take about 20min vs hours trouble shooting, thanks all tongue.gif
