still going at it eh? You're not the only one with the problem. There is a huge thread on the battlefield 3 getsatisfaction.com section. Just go on battlelog and click feedback & support. Once you are there go to Community>topics>problems it's like the 6th topic. Even DICE doesn't know what it causing the stuttering because they haven't acknowledged the problem yet.

Still stuttering :-) ( sometimes it stutters sometimes it doesnt ) With V-Sync it stops -abit.

just installed crysis warhead and maxed everything out ! biggrin.gif never drops below 55-60fps ! ( with v-sync )

now im sure its GAME-SIDE PROBLEM!

I spent days messing around with every setting before I was able to completely solve my microstuttering/ fps drops / video lag...

Here is everything that I did.. I'm not sure if all of these things apply, or a combination of them, but I am not going to change a thing. Occasionally, perhaps for 2-3 seconds on a map, I get slight video lag, but it may be related to explosions or destruction, which according to the [H] MP video card review was a problem on AMD cards..

I'm running @ 1080P, ultra for everything HBAO on 16AA.. Dual 6870's.

Disable Hyperthreading in my bios.

Create a user.cfg file (make sure you save the file as a cfg file, not a text) :
RenderDevice.TrippleBufferingEnable 0
RenderDevice.ForceRenderAheadLimit 1

Update drivers to current 11.11 w CAP3

Turn RAW Input to "ON"

I know this may sound strange, but the first game or two I played felt like it had more stutter.. But after a full day of testing, it looks like this combination of settings has practically eliminated all stutter..

I do notice a slight problem when I crouch behind objects and move to the left or right, it seems like my character moves slightly more than it should. Not sure if that is stutter or just a bug.. Doesn't happen all the time but it does happen occasionally.

How stable is the OP's overclock?

Keep in mind AMD cards right now have a problem when buildings explode. The fps dont drop but you feel stutter.

Ive heard others same similar things about sli and crossfire. I have had my 570 sli setup since the 570 was release, and I have never noticed any kind of micro stuttering. All my games get very high frame rate and run super smooth. No stuttering what so ever. This could be driver related, hardware related, Im not sure. Maybe Im just lucky.
