AMD said they have fix it with drivers so they are working on it and they will release it asap. A fix for negative crossfire scaling is to download this dll from here http://www.megaupload.com/?d=ICEDIU66 and place it in the root of your skyrim folder. You will still see some micro stutter in first person but it will really help your FPS.

thanks for youre post...

But, ive already reinstalled my drivers.. ill give it another try..

if it still doesnt work i gotta reinstall my windows 7.

Download and install driver sweeper. Download the newest 11.11 and 11.11 CAP2. Uninstall your AMD drivers and CAPs while in Windows. Reboot into safe mode. Run driver sweeper to remove any AMD or Nvidia display drivers. Reboot. Install AMD drivers and CAP in Windows. In CCC after this is finished (and I believe your system has rebooted for changes to take effect), run CCC to ensure Crossfire is enabled. Run BF3 in fullscreen mode. Type ~, then "Render.drawfps True" to display your FPS in game. To compare this to single card, disable CFX in CCC and repeat to see if you get a decline in FPS that you would expect by having only 1 GPU. See if it still stutters using CFX or single card.

DO NOT DELETE the Nvidia drivers using Driver Sweeper. It comes with Windows OS and has nothing to do with graphics driver.

There's no option in CCC to enable/disable Crossfire for a 6990. It uses a PEX chip as crossfire bridge to link 2 GPU cores in 6990.

My mistake. I assumed it was an option since the card is technically a crossfire. As for the Nvidia drivers, isnt there a way to remove Nvidia drivers using Driver Sweeper if you were to switch from an Nvidia card to AMD?

It's OK.

I know by saying not to use Driver Sweeper will create disagreement from some users who never had any problems using it. But by checking the 'Nvidia" box, it simply whack out anything related to it.

Some motherboards/devices will not be effected without those drivers but might cause issues with other components later on or not at all.

The fact that OP never installed Forceware after formatted and fresh OS re-install and Driver Sweeper detected "Nvidia" is from Windows OS.

That's why some users don't have issues using it and some users see the effect after using it. There are tons related articles in this regard.

Edit:

Current Forceware is good enough to unistall using its install/uninstall manager.
