5 cmos battery back in
6 power up pc from wall (yes, with molex still removed)

Had no idea you could plug a molex into a mobo confused.gif

OP, XFX psus are usually Seasonic built so they're very quality.

ok, these are the ones I'm looking at,

http://www.ebuyer.com/241554-xfx-pro-650w-core-edition-psu-single-rail-9x-sata-4x-p1-650s-ukb9

http://www.ebuyer.com/241552-xfx-pro-750w-core-edition-psu-single-rail-9x-sata-4x-p1-750s-ukb9

http://www.ebuyer.com/257232-corsair-tx-650w-v2-psu-80plus-bronze-certified-cmpsu-650txv2uk

http://www.ebuyer.com/152008-ocz-mxsp-series-700w-80-psu-modular-single-12v-rail-135mm-fan-ocz700mxsp

I like the OCZ because it's Modular, I think the other PSU have cables way to long for my HAF912, I had quite a bit of trouble with the 650CM GX.

what do you guys recommend? If theirs something better out there again, let me know.

Cheers

thats this one? http://www.ebuyer.com/241554-xfx-pro-650w-core-edition-psu-single-rail-9x-sata-4x-p1-650s-ukb9

Think it as to be from ebuyer, I dont think they will refund me cash from my CM, even tho i've only had it for 4 months.

That's different. It's still great, I just recommended the XXX over it due to it being semi-modular at the same price. If that doesn't concern you, go for it.

I don't think ebuyer will refund or even store credit you, I expect they will just send you another CM. I'm not sure, guessing here, but if that's the case, might as well just get the XXX from scan.

are you directly plugging your computer into mains ?

you should have a cheap $30-40, low power but quality UPS in between the mains and your computer's psu at all times.

powercom makes good units. if you find any somewhere, buy them. just one unit is enough - it doesnt need to provide UPS service for your rig (ie like holding it on for 3-4 minutes after power is out) - it just is needed to regulate the current/voltage in between your pc psu and mains power.

your correct, They wont refund or let me choose another, replacement only, They told me the CM PSU is great, and they've only had 3% of them returned.

I've read alot of reviews on this PSU and it seems like it does die for alot of ppl after a few months. Oh well I Guess i'll be sticking with CM

If I was you I'd sell the new unopened CM for a little under new price, and grab the XXX for yourself. It's semi-modular and helluva unit, You'll have more peace of mind with that powering your sigrig thumb.gif (not that your sigrig needs it but still!)
