I understand, mine will do 2400MHz on stock volts also but by real performance I am talking 2800 and up Sorry for the mis-understanding in my post.

Yes try for more volts at 2600 MHz if you like, or even 2500MHz. No need to rush these things

i can hit 2.6 dual prime stable on stock volts...

did i get lucky?
Well, your Memory is running at/below 200MHz, so that's not the problem. HTT is on 3x. Have you tried upping the chipset voltage?

My Manchester seems to better than others, able to hit 2.56GHz (in siggy) on stock volts, but from 2.65/2.70GHz, stupidly big increases in vcore are needed to go higher.

EDIT: DAMN!! You goddamn DID get lucky.

There is no 100% until you get really high...GHZ-wise.
You gotta get the temps under control before you can just go testing.
Get the RAM speed high as it can go as well as the CPU...then run a few BASIC appz.
Media Player w/visualizations
AM3
and something CPU hogging like AIM
If you lock up or experience lag with those then the RAM is slowing you down...lower it's speed.
If it freezes or studders...then the CPU doesn't have enough juice or is over it's limit with the cooling, multiplier, and volts you have it at.

stay under 1.6v, anything higher will shorten the life of the CPU a lot

In my bios and have 3 places to increase voltage. RAM,HTT Transport and PCI-X. I increased the HTT by 0.1V (needed to) and left the others default. But I doubt if the PCI-X will have any influence. So do you all agree that I need more volts on the cpu? And again what is safe?

Ok, i'll try and get 2.5 stable first. I'll try and up the vcore a bit and keep an eye on the temps. Thanks for the help.
