Best air coolers out there right now?

Thread Starter
I haven't tried an H70 yet or anything like that, but I honestly think they're great for people who are pushing OC's to the limit. I really don't need anything like that with a 1 ghz OC. Until I learn more about overclocking I will just stick to the easier stuff.

Did you just answer you question?

Noctua NH-D14, Thermalright Silver Arrow, Corsair H100, and the Phanteks PH-TC14PE are some of the best air coolers out.

Welcome. It's always good to read/search for other similar threads before posting as the same questions get asked and answered over and over.

Any of the top 10 HSFs will serve you well. Check the test data for the specific brand of CPU you have as the area of the heatsink spreader affects cooling performance.

That list is bogus. The Silver Arrow isn't even listed in the top ten on that list. Hmmmm! rolleyes.gif
Sorry, 9th on AMD list. Again. Hmmmm! rolleyes.gif

Nope, we've had this discussion before. The Frosty Tech test data is accurate and objective. Any of the top ten HSFs will work just fine, maybe even the top 15. No one knows how well a particular HSF works in a particular PC case with a specific GPU, HDs, etc. without careful testing as there are tens of thousands of different combinations of hardware. No reputable website would suggest that testing in a PC case is representative of a HSFs performance for anything other than that exact PC case and hardware.

There testing is only based on their method of testing which is nothing extreme compared to some other sites. I would never rely on their testing again. I use to be a Frosty Tech follower until their review lead me to wasting money on a few heatsinks in the past. There data test is probably good for AMD but for Intel, Frosty Tech get a big thumbsdownsmileyanim.gif from me.

It is thumb.gif ...right next to the DH-14 and Phanteks.
All you have to do is Google the site/video reviews and you will see that the majority will agree wink.gif
