Intel i5 / Gtx 460 driver problem

Thread Starter
This problem isn't happening in my pc, but in my bro's pc.

He has a i5 650 cpu with a gtx 460 and since a few days ago he has been having the screen go black, and then turn on again and the message appears that it was a driver problem and that it was restored.

Has anyone had a similar problem before?

Thanks for the help smile.gif

If he is on Beta Forceware, uninstall and install Official WHQL Forceware. Try that first and check Power Supply too.

What problem could the PSU be causing? What should I check for?

He didn't overclock the GPU...it came factory overclocked, I think though.

Thanks for the help

EDIT: It was working for a while but now when he turns the PC on the monitor just stays on standby like it doesn't recognize the PC is on :\ ...Any help?

Did you update to the latest drivers recently, if so NVIDIA screwed up something with the latest drivers, your best bet is to rollback to some older drivers, I had that too I'm sure it wasn't because of overclocked GPU because mine is at stock.

What's his PSU wattage and brand? If you're not sure open the case and take a look.

PSU is good, maybe try uninstalling those drivers, and use driver sweeper to remove remains of them, and install these drivers:
