Zowie AM Review - Page 29

Just ordered mine from the zowegear shop.

Caseking.de didnt have any left.

Im not afraid of the m1/2 problem, if I have the issue I will just file them down.
A caseking representive said Zowie will not void the warranty if people do that.

Im currently more afraid of the mouse4/5 button thing I read in this or another thread.
Is it true that they get randomly activated if you grip the mouse too hard?
someone with the AM pls test this, if this is a common problem I might just as well cancel my order before they ship it.

I had the same problem with the g9x if I used the smaller grip, I could fix it with a thin paper between the grip and the actual mouse, but that was far from optimal as I didnt want to do that all the time when I changed the grips.

Yes it is, and hitting mouse4 like that is quite easy imo. Had to rebind my knife button in BF3 because of it. Otherwise great mouse though.

If they fix the side button issue, I'm probably going to order 3 more and never worry about a mouse again.

I do not have this issue. How hard do you press your mouse?!

Anyways, since the AM is thinner than a Xai I don't touch the right thumb buttons with my pinky. That was so annoying.
touching a button is not a problem, I will get used to that and avoid it.

but I cant grip a mouse any softer while gaming...
In BF3 I had the weapon mode binded to mouse5 with my g9x and I always wondered why the **** my weapons switch from burst to auto to single mode all the time without me touching that button, then I was surfing the web and had the same problem with the "page forward" function, although not as often as I use to be more gentle on the mouse while surfing.

I really hope this isnt as prominent as it was with the g9x.
this mouse looks to be perfect in every single way other than the stupid manufacturing problems with the m1/2 and now m4/5...

If your hands aren't that big, mouse5 shouldn't be an issue (though it has the same problem, but my thumb simply isn't long enough), but I can't use mouse4 atm.

Quite hard, I often flick at 3 m/s and grip the mouse really hard when stopping on the target.

I really hope they fix these button issues because otherwise it's perfect.

I'm looking to buy a Zowie AM but I just don't know where to buy from. I live in North America, are there any sites that sell them here?

If anyone has a Zowie AM and doesn't want it, I'll be interested in purchasing one. Just PM me smile.gif

Sorry if this has been answered, I'm sure it has, but can anyone tell me how good this mouse is at max dpi?
The shape of the mouse actually feels like it's halfway between a G500 and a Xai, not simply a clone of the Xai. I think claw grippers will like this mouse better than palm grippers.

Also:

- I did not have the Mouse 1+2 issue, I bought mine from ESEAmarket
- They improved the side buttons a lot since the EC2
- Mouse wheel feels the same as EC2
- The left and right mouse clicks actually feel better than Steelseries in my opinion, although I wish the buttons themselves were wider

Overall it's good, but if you were hoping for a Xai/Kinzu/Sensei type feel then you might be disappointed.

the tracking speeds are even lower than 2.9m/s

I bought the Zowie AM recently but can't use it because the mouse causes pain in my wrist and hand. I've also had this problem with the Logitech G9X and Razer Abyssus. I decided to instead go with the Steelseries Sensei after trying it with my Artisan Hayate today. I love smaller mice and the Zowie AM has a nice shape, but the smaller width + bigger height/length of the mouse was not comfortable for me. I noticed the mouse 1+2 button issue but using a fingertip grip I didn't have a problem with the mouse buttons hitting each other with how I hold it. I also use the Zowie Mico and didn't even know this problem existed until I read some info on here. The scroll wheel on the AM is very nice and easy to press and I like the tactile feel of the Huano switches, but they are harder to press compared to other mice.
