Lets be honest, no one is gonna grab the sides as hard as its required for the side buttons to be registered during gaming or normal use
3m/s is definately enough for most people

It was a problem on the first batch, which is what we were discussing - problems that wouldn't have surfaced if they took a little bit longer to polish the mouse.

Corrupt down here grabs his mouse that hard, he was the first reporting it afaik.

I find 3m/s barely enough to keep up with my movements and I'm on 60cm/360º, I know there's people with lower sensitivity too.

I know we're the rare species there (about the side buttons and the max speed), just saying it's a limit that can be constantly hit, as opposing to >4m/s, which is far more rare.

Well I used 2300 dpi, I hit the limit on the other ones. I've got a mid sens but I still swipe quite fast. 2300 dpi, 0.6 in quake/counter strike source.

I don't understand the squeezing issue. I don't want to break my AM, but I can't press the sides and activate the buttons. Where are you pressing and with how much force? I feel like I'm pressing the side pretty hard and nothing is happening.

As for the "motion lag" it feels no different than my Xai. I did just pick it up from Newegg on their recent restock, maybe they've changed some things?

I am using a func archetype, are you using a hardpad? Also using 450dpi, do you only notice it on the high setting?

On 2300CPI it's common to feel that you need several "pixels" or "millimeters" for the mouse to move on mid-low sensitivity.
If you're testing this "threshold", do it at the same CPI on both mice, since higher CPI with overall the same sensitivity and resolution = more movement to "get away" from a static position, in my experience.

What's you sens in cm/360º? I'm at 60cm/360º atm.

On the side, right below both buttons. You don't need to apply excessive force for it to "click" either.

We're not discussing "motion lag" btw, it only happens from when still to moving, and it's very, very subtle.

He's using a cloth pad, I 'm using a range of hard pads.

I'm going to have to say my side buttons dont activate when pressing the sides below and around the buttons. Do you have the regular or gs version?

Nah I have a rubber version. Due to my hands their size I can still properly use MOUSE5 though. About the threshold issue, cleaned the lens and did some testing again, seems better. And also seems more noticable in CS Source then other games (even CS:GO felt better). Tbh since the orangebox update cs source's mouse always felt a bit more laggy to me.

Try turning off raw input. I've played CS:S only a couple of hours but it seemed to me that raw input is more laggy.

Most of the concern in this thread has revolved around its, "low perfect control speed". However, in comparing to recently released mice-and older favourites-its perfect control speed is relatively high.

The only mice that have bested the AM in this category are the G400, DA, and Abyssus. I am debating picking this mouse up to replace my MiCO (love this mouse, have had no skipping problems as Derp did). The AM seems to have a better shape, lower LOD, and is prediction-free. Ultimately, I do go over 3 m/s as a low sens player (70cm/360) but must compromise in some areas..

If I could have everything, my mouse would have the following characteristics:

high perfect control speed
small size
lightweight
low LOD
prediction free

The only other option in this category would be a tape-fixed Abyssus (if I could find one without jitter sneaky.gif ).
