I use a finger tip grip style. If you have big hands, this mouse will feel a bit small at first, and certainly less.. conformed to your hand? I'm not sure how to put that. I love how it reacts faster and is more accurate than the DeathAdder. I'm fairly sure the DeathAdder has negative sensitivity, after using the Zowie AM. With the DeathAdder, I would leave it at 1800 DPI, 6th notch to the right in Windows sensitivity, 2.69 sensitivity in Counter-Strike with Raw Input enabled. With the Zowie, I am put back to 1150 DPI, I moved the slider in Windows to the right one notch (7th notch) and it is fairly similar, just a TAD faster.
I definitely will nevr use the DeathAdder for anything bu Osu, now that I have the Zowie AM. My only real beef with this mouse, is how tough the scroll wheel is. The DeathAdder has 0 resistance, while the Am is the complete opposite, forcing you to go through hard notches. it is also worth mentioning that the scroll wheel is smaller, but taller, so the feel is totally different. It may not seem like a big deal, but I use it for changing weapons in CS; I'm so used to flicking the mouse wheel to where I want it, now I have to grind it.
A good thing to note, this mouse comes in two revisions; one with the glossy finish, and one with rubberized. I went with glossy because I had a habit of picking up the DeathAdder, the 0 lift off distance of the Am does not make this a good thing to do, and I found that with my friend's rubberized finish, I was accidentally lifting the mouse a lot on side to side adjustments. I would not go with rubberized unless you sweat profusely or something like that
TL;DR- if you want to dedicate a few weeks to using the AM and getting used to its features, then i would go for it. I have noticed it is far more accurate in fast swiping situations and in overall accuracy. If you are comfortable with the Deathadder right now and don't really feel like throwing your comfort into the wind; don't do it.
