how long have you been learning/working?

Not long... about 4 months.

I'm doing another degree (I get bored easily smile.gif). The degree is creative computing and only one of the modules (25% of the year's mark) is Java. The kind of code I'm writing / learning isn't esp. difficult. It's aimed at people without previous experience.

Most of the code we've had to look at is simply working our way through the main classes / functions available in Java and slowly putting it together. As I said, not too tricky yet. I've a feeling there'll be a noticable jump in the second year. How about you?

sounds interesting. i'm just a high school student. i originally wanted to check out a decent amount of lessons from various library books and textbooks this break, but with basketball, family, friends, and a sprained wrist, i didn't really get much done. though now that school is starting up again i'm sure i'll be more focused. i also signed up for CS101 and Game Theory on the Stanford online classes i saw in another topic. they sound interesting, and it's free, so i have nothing to lose, and much to gain. smile.gif
