It is reasonable to assume that that limit applies to SB as well since all three are on the 32nm process.
Of course you guys can do whatever you want with your CPUs. I personally keep mine below 1.4V because I often fold on it for days at a time. I want my 2600K to last. If you feel comfortable with more Vcore, then go right ahead.

Yeah but Sandy Bridge E has slightly different architecture compare to Sandy 2500k. Also thats the books intel has to do it by the books 100 percent safe if it ran optimally. I think up to 1.45 is safe aslong as temps checkout. Degrading even occurs at stock SLOWLY i mean even at 1.43 you will take years til you degrade people seem to all say there running fine 1.5+ no degrading. if your temps are good (Under 70C Durinig every day load) 50-60's best.

i got mine stable at 1.425v for 5.0ghz .... i didn't much difference from 4.5 ghz at 1.3v vs. 5.0 ghz at 1.425v. so i stayed at 4.5ghz... only time i m at 5.0 ghz is to show off to my friends

didn't intel say not to go over 1.5v?
