Can I post to here? because I am reserving my Asus DCUII 7950 next week. AND I only use old mobo back at 2008 ( see sig rig ) that is only PCIE 2.0. The same question is are this going to decrease 7950 performance?
2008 RIG, it's been 3 years and still Juicy :)

These would tend to suggest NO ... not for gaming, and much else not for awhile yet.

I mean great IF you have the PCI-e 3.0 board, but I dunno if it's worth the extra $ for a a little future proofing today ? Certainly not worth being upset about it.

edit ... OR ... after re-reading your post ... did you mean ASIDE from PCI-e 3.0 which isn't much benefit,

is there any OTHER reason to consider the GEN 3 board an uppgrade over the GEN 2 ? in which case that answer is NO thumb.gif
