Hi,

I am reasonably new to overclocking, and just out for some help. I was referred here by a few friends

I have:
-> Intel i5-2400
-> ASUS P8H61 PLUS
-> Corsair H80
-> OCZ Agility 3 120GB
-> 2x WD Greens 1TB
-> MSI 6850 Power Cyclone Edition OC

Camrules,

if it is indeed the i5 2400, it can't be overclocked. it is fast enough, though.

only the i5 2500K (unlocked processor) can be overclocked.

yes, a K and the motherboard, i believe, has to be a P67 or Z68.

he can do slight overclocking, with the max turbo frequency, of that CPU. Then he can adjust the base clock a few mhz and yea he can get a few hundred mhz higher.

BTW its an H61 chipset board, good luck with OCing it H6X chipsets don't allow for OC. You can try tho, you shoudl be able to make all yoru cores run on the max turbo frequency instead of just 1.
