Are you implying any of 230mm's preinstalled in cases have any power? ;D
A single 120mm Yate Loon / Sanyo Denki / Nidec / maybe even Delta alone would make 'your typical' 230mm spin backwards.

no, i was implying that a fan with power applied to it (it is running) would not spin backwards simply because of positive pressure created inside the case by the other fans.

do not confuse this with me saying a fan pointed at the 230mm fan coundn't make it spin backwards, because that is not what i was implying

Hi! Didnt wanna make a new thread because i have the same excact issue here. Carbide 500R / H100.

2x 120mm front =intake
120mm bottom = intake
200mm side = intake
2x120mm top = intake (h100)
120mm rear = exhaust.

So yeah talk about possitive pressure but will the rear fan alone handle it?
Setting the top fans (h100) to exhaust would mean less effective cooling of the radiator? (correct me there)

Gravedigging this thread again, because I'm considering using the exact same setup as pansobob.

Well, more gravedigging here as well, i'm thinking of reversing the airflow in my case.
H100i in the top tray, two fans pulling air into case through rad, back, fan intake.
200mm fan exhaust, 2 front fans exhaust. The reason i'm thinking this might work best for overall cooling is (from what i've read) some of these Closed Loop radiators perform better when used as an intake. On top of that, even on high, the stock fans that came with my White 500R don't move a lot of air, and are far less powerful than the other fans that i would be using as intakes. Therefore, positive pressure is still retained.

I love constructive criticism, so if you're going to criticize or comment on my above post, just make it worth reading hahah.
cheers!
