Alright thanks.

Heres another one:
I dont think my x-fi extreme gamer, has integrated headphone amplifier and microphone pre-amplifier. I know the Auzentech has that. Is that a feature im gonna miss alot, untill the day comes I decide to buy the Auzentech Forte 7.1?

Wauw, this seenheiser is very comfortable to wear. And the virtual surround, is about to get tested in games right now.

Now I just wonder if I should enable "MacroFX" + "ElevationFilter" in my creative.

Ok. Did get answer on MacroFX

The sound is BLOODY awesome. I left "MacroFX" + "ElevationFilter" on auto mode. Superior to an standard gaming headset? hell yes. thumb.gif

But I really dunno if I have amplifier feature on my extreme gamer. And if I have not, if its an important feature. You guys know that?

The amplifier is for amping headphones with high impedance. You won't need it.

The xtremegamer technically has an amplifier in it... it's just the one in the forte is supposed to be slightly better and used to drive high impedance headphones like B!0hazard said. I don't think the PC360s are hard to drive so you don't need it. If later on down the road you want to improve the sound even more you can buy an external amplifier to power the headphones.

You did went from the soundcard I have now, to the Forte 7.1, right?

Did you get noticeable improvements in the sound?

Sorry it has been a long time since I've had the xtremegamer, but from what I can remember it was not as big of an upgrade as getting new headphones was. I could definitely tell the forte was better, but it wasn't a big difference. On the forte, sounds like gunshots/footsteps sounded clearer/sharper and less shrill or tinny than on the xtremegamer. That is what I noticed most. I do not regret the upgrade from the xtremegamer to the forte because I am very happy with the forte, but I do wonder what other soundcards like the asus xonar essence stx sound like in comparison.

Where did you end up getting your pc360's?
I'm about to get my first pair of headsets for gaming and this one looks like a winner. They are 200+ on amazon though.

Thanks!

Thanks!

From a danish store here in my country. I gave 145 euro.

All: I Must say I feel really ashamed for waiting this long, to buy such an highend headset like this Seenheiser PC360 biggrin.gif
Every sound in games, became so much more sharper, compared to my Roccat kave 5.1.

If I hadnt made this topic here, I think I would still be on my Roccat kave 5.1 headset. Thanks guys.

Okay I couldnt resist, so I also now ordrer the Auzentech x-fi forte 7.1 soundcard. However I got two questions for that.

1) Look at my screenshot here. I downloaded the auzentech forte driver, and saved it to my pc (just so its all ready once I get the soundcard)
I dont know what I need from the driver confused.gif There are like +15 different setup.exe files. 1 from each folder. I just want the driver + console launcher + alchemy, Dont think I need anything else?

confussed.jpg 365k .jpg file

2) How on earth is the best way to remove my old creative x-fi extreme gamer driver + software? I read on the net, that its a pain in the butt, to remove creative driver/software. I only thing I know, is to remove all creative related in "add or remove programs" but is everything really 100% true gone from there?
