DDR454 2-4-4-10 much better, Intel chips crave bandwidth. Why such a bad OC and horrible timings though?

DDR302 is slower than PC2700 (DDR333).....and those timings are pretty tight, but..... that DDR454 should be quite a bit faster. Higher bandwith, and looser/no ram dividers is in favor of the DDR454.

I can run a 1:1 divider (DDR418) at 2-3-2-6, with a FSB of 209 Mhz. I can run this stable. Anything over 209 Mhz FSB makes the system unstable.

Or. I can keep 1:1 divider (DDR454) at 2.5-4-4-9, with a FSB of 227 Mhz stable.

What would you suggest? I think the second choice is the clear winner. But are these two tests consistent with what an overclocker can encounter? Or does something not seem right?

Get as high with the FSB as you can on 1:1. The timings come second as they don't make so much of a difference on Intel setups. Have you tried 3-3-3-8 timings? Usually the CAS (first number) makes the most difference.

I can't try 3-3-3-8. My BIOS does not give me the option to go above 2.5. It only allows 2 and 2.5
