196

It's over 9000!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Be right back, heading to Microcenter to pick up an FX8150

Be sure to ask for Paco. He always gives me the best overclockers.

However, it has no bearing as most people here are not running a 100% load on their cpu 24/7. And those who are, as said, would not be looking at these cpus in the first place.

Because you're talking about power consumption... and the average user does not care about power consumption. If you want to talk about CPU power consumption, you must bring in full-load or 24/7/365 scenarios.

A video of a single person's usage of a system is by definition... subjective.

Hmmm the last time I checked, objective referred to definitive proof of something and subjective was opinionated. Well a lot of average users around here seem to care about power consumption the way they throw around graphs. Clearly your definition of "average user" differs from mine. I can see the point about 24/7 full load, but there's plenty of graphs out there based on that already.

(this is a joke btw, lol)

But the fact is, it beats it, and since the fx-8120 is at the same price point as the i5, its valid. Wouldnt matter if it had 183290348 cores, if it was the same price as an i5, and it beat it, then it beat it. Leave it at that. And is benching with a cpu that is OC'd without being stable for 24/7 new or something? Because I see benchmarks all the time with ridiculous OC's that arent stable 24/7... But Im new to this, maybe I am missing something... smile.gif Im such a newb

Objective is unbiased or prejudice. Based on your history of posts.... you have already established that your are opinionated and you have vested interest in BD for your eBay sale.

Power draw/performance it loses badly.

This.

I completely agree... It just sounded to me like he was trying to justify BD winning by saying its because it was vs a quadcore... Sure it was, but they are the same price, so that doesnt really matter, IMHO... Yes it will consume much more power. I just always wondered how much that would cost for an average user per month on their bill....

I did the maths for you in the "Bulldozer still selling out of stock". It comes down to usage, so everything from not noticable to quite a few bucks a year.
