For 1 loop ideally:

pump -> radiator -> cpu -> radiator -> gpus -> radiator -> ram/motherboard -> radiator -> res

realistically that's hard to hookup, so the easier version:

pump -> radiator -> cpu -> motherboard -> ram -> radiator if you can -> gpu -> remaining radiators -> res

It all boils down to what you plan to do with your rig. Planning on loading BOTH your gpu's and cpu at once? If you its better to keep cpu's and gpu's separated in order to cool them properly, unless you don't plan to do any overclock whatsoever.

So, if what you plan to do is to make a gaming rig that can also take some heavy loads on ONE of the parts (i/e cpu or gpu, but not together) then I recommend only 1 loop, as its much more efficient than two. For this, 2 pumps would suffice, but I wouldn't ever go with 2 x Laing D5 but after 2 x DDC as they have much more head-pressure that is exactly what you are looking for.

That's probably the same thing someone said to the OCNer who blew a hose off a fitting because there were so many pumps in-line that the pressure was too much for the system to handle. These MCP655 pumps crank out 3m of head, which would make the proposed system look like 6m of head in a loop that probably doesn't even span a single meter. I don't know about you but to me that sounds like enough overkill to get me worried about a hose going *POP* and drenching the system. Funny thing is, even with non-conductive coolant that kind of failure would kill the components a hell of a lot faster than leaving the computer on for a while with a dead pump and static water.

There's also the heat dump to consider - D5's dump a lot of heat in the loop. For infinite radiators it doesn't matter, but for every other setup there's an ideal amount of D5 pumping power for that particular setup and going beyond that will just raise your temps. DDC's have much less heat dumped into the loop, however you have to make sure to cool the pump itself.

Please be aware that if you run too many pumps at high speed you will run the risk of causing frothing in your reservoir. If you use a Res, try to use it with a fillport to avoid this.
