HD6570 is a much faster card than the HD6450 though.
HD6450 is no better than a 7600 GT or Radeon X1650 XT. On the other hand the HD6570 peform between 9600 GT/9800 GT or HD3870/3850.

Not looking to spend more than $55, which is the lowest price for it that I have found anywhere on the net, see the same card on newegg and tigerdirect for much more, would welcome any other suggestions at the same price/performance.

Putting it in a second system with an Intel E5200 processor + 4gb ddr3 memory and and ASUS P5G41T-M LX MB. Just trying to find out if any one is running a similar setup and what kind of performance I should expect to get from it. Saw some reviews but only with the ones with ddr5 memory. Would like to know how some of the newer games would play on it, Fifa12, Skyrim, Batman Arkham City just to name a few.

Hello smile.gif

I bought a HD6670 DDR3 for someone and tested it on my computer. It was decent card really and well worth the money. It tested in 1280x1024 as those cards are not designed to handle 1080p unless you turn everything down especially in new games. And it was very good.

I tried F.E.A.R (old I know) got 55 fps average (maxed out) F.E.A.R 3 was able to max it but at 1280x720 and no AA. Crysis was only playable on medium settings. Resident Evil 5 was playable on max with no AA.
Sonic Generations I was able to max it out too with 30+ fps average.
The only two difference between the two cards is that HD6570 has slightly lower core clock. But the performance-wise is very close.
So I think this card should play Skyrim decently in 1280x1024 just you won't be able to max out every option in the game with it.
I advice you to get the DDR5 version if you can. The DDR3 doesn't have enough bandwidth to cooperate with the core.

Good Luck smile.gif .

Thanks for all the helpful responses guys, already ordered the card on amazon, end up paying just $40 for it, was too good an offer to pass up.

Will hopefully have it in hand by next week to do some testing for myself. Will update the thread then.

Dude. If its good enough for Zodac to fold on, its good enough for anyone looking for a midrange card biggrin.gif In all seriousness though, Skyrim is stupidly limited to 2gigs of RAM, requiring a workaround. My sister is running a 6670 in her rig, and when i'm folding on mine ill use hers for a bit of gaming tongue.gif its a nice little gem of a card. Still, if you can afford it, the GTX550ti is much better.

Received the card yesterday, didn't realize it was so small, here are some pics.
450

450

Play couple games of Fifa 12 max out, which ran smoothly at 60fps, dipping to the 40s while replaying and taking corners.

Will run some more benchmarks in the next couple days and post the results.
Will be doing some benchmark comparison to rig in my sig.

Had to reinstall win7 because of some issues with the Asus mb and a problem with ASUS Anti-Surge error that kept shutting down the computer. Change PSU and the issue continued so decided to do a reinstall as a last resort.

System been up and running without that error (same PSU) for the last two days so decided to run some more benchmarks just on the second system with the GPU at stock and overclocked.

Intel E5200 overclocked @3.2ghz
ASUS P5G41T-M LX MB
HD6570 1GIG DDR3 stock(650/900) vs oc(845/1050)
4 Gigs Kingston Hyper-X DDR3 1333mhz memory
160gb Hard drive
Windows 7 Professional 64bit

419

Games tested, all with the latest patch, GPU temps maxes out at 68c.
1280x1024 resolution

Batman: Arkham City
Built-In Benchmark - Same setting as above

Crysis 2
High Quality setting, dx9 No AA, 270 second gameplay(opening sequence), Fraps

Crysis Warhead
Gamer Quality setting, dx10 No AA, Framebuffer Ambush benchmark

The Elder Scrolls V
High Quality setting, 8xAA 8xAF, all others at default, 120 seconds gameplay (running around Riverwood), Fraps

Battlefield: Bad Company 2
High Detail, dx11, 4xAA 16xAF, hbao on, bloom on, 300 second gameplay (starting from the second checkpoint (after the helicopter takes off) of the second single player mission up until your battle with the tank commences), Fraps

353

Open to other benchmark suggestions, just ask, if I have the game I will run it.
