How to get C4 on C5 XMS2 ram

Hey guys, I have this ram right here: ~ CLICK ME ~ And would like to tighten down the timings from 5-5-5-12 1T to 4-4-4-12-1T.

I'm at 2.05v from the stock 1.9v, and am running stable in Memtest, but whenever I get into windows, SuperPi fails and so does Prime ! On top of that, Windows randomly reboots without BSOD'ing.

I know It's asking for alot to tweak down the timings so drastically, but I think it can be done. Oddly, RamGuy recommends 2.1v ! I'll try it at 2.1v and see if it helps

Has anyone else been able to get these timings or a high OC with these babies ? Thanks !

EDIT:

After some more testing, I want to do a poll So here goes...

What would you choose ? (Assuming theyre both stable)

A. DDR2-800 @ 4-4-4-12 1T

B. DDR2-1000 @ 5-5-5-12 1T

As far I heard, but I am not sure, Intels like bandwidth more, so I'd go for DDR2 1000 @ 5-5-5-12

Your right chozart, intels don't care about timings, all they care about is speed and bandwidth. Which is why they get a nice little hike in performance from dual channel, and ddr2.

As far as am2..I think they're still based off of the old K8 architecture, just with ddr2. So..I'd think you'd have to tighten them down as much as you can? I'm not too big on ddr2

I dunno if 5-5-5-12 is too bad, especially for 100mhz faster.

Man..what have I been smokin' He has an AMD I guess I am living too much in a Core 2 Duo fog... Sorry

yes, get them as tight as possible.. AMD's like them tightings tight, even with AM2 and DDR2

But, I might say that the extra 200 MHz (based on DDR2) might outweigh the tighter timings.

Lol, It's ok

I was just able to get down to 5-4-4-8-2T @ DDR2-1000. If I changed the tRAS to 4, I can't boot, and 1T makes Memtest go BALLISTIC !

I'll try going to 2.1v and trying 1T, which would give me the biggest increase in speed out of all the other timings. Any suggestions on what else I should try ? Thanks
