I'm pretty much looking for the best monitor (23-24 inch) for playing Call of Duty on the Xbox 360.

I have the LG IPS236 and I must say that the monitor puts out an absolutely amazing picture which is so crisp and the colors are so smooth. My game look much better coming from my TN monitor. Also I play pretty much every genre of games and I have never seen any ghosting what so ever. So I can vouch for no ghosting on FPS and this monitor is so good that 2 of my friends have already come over, played on it and went straight to the store and bought it for themselves. The crazy part is that at least in Canada it can be had for 200 bucks! I personally like 23" because it is at that perfect size where it is big enough, but not too big where the game gets into your periphery. Anything 24" or bigger is just no good for gaming, especially FPS, in my opinion.

Would use as a monitor as well, but the main focus is its functionality for Xbox. A monitor is generally better for gaming.

I think what I want to do is spend <$350 for the absolute best 23-24 inch gaming monitor I could get. This would be good picture quality, accurate colours, deep blacks, fast response time, and low input lag.

And again, does anyone know if a 120 hz monitor would have any effect when used with the Xbox?

Well I personally just bought my second Acer G235H Abd. I use them for bot my sig rig as well as my PS3. Even though they do not have an HDMI output, I just bought a DVI to HDMI cable specifically for the PS3. Great for gaming definitely noticed a reduced input lag/screen lag from my TV.smile.gif

im not sure but are games capped at 60fps on xbox? if so 120hz wouldn't do anything cause you need at least 120fps to take advantage of it.

Hp zr2440w or zr24w. I have the bigger brother, the zr2740w, and it makes my 5 Samsung monitors look like utter crap. I only play fps as well and it's simply amazing.

i ON THE OTHER hand have own a dell Ips monitor and loved it for Photoshop and Movies but for gaming it was horrible specialy for COD as a pro COD player i notice the Respond lag the time it took me to move my aiming to the left while sprinting was really bad, even tho noob players wont notice it i did. so i went back to TN and cant say i miss those IPS monitor.

I have over 80 days played across the CoD series, and I'm funding my monitors from YouTube videos I make, so I'm pretty serious with this. I've gotten to the point where I can no longer play Xbox on my 50 inch plasmas at home, only my monitor will due. I was looking at those 2 Asus ones and they look pretty good.

I still feel that if I could find a Samsung PX2370 somewhere I would get it instantly. One of the highest rated gaming monitors there is.

Those two Asus ones are good, but are they the best. I know that they using an LCD (non LED) Asus monitor for MLG for a while.
