On newegg, the S3 isn't listed as having any RAID controllers. However, one reviewer said he had 2 Raptors in RAID 0. Did newegg just forget to list the RAID controller for the S3, or does it really not have one

I'm pretty sure it has the raid controller. At least that's what the manual says...?

You are referring to the GA-965P-S3, not the DS3 model, correct? If the only difference is solid state caps, then i'd go with the S3 instead of the DS3. But if the S3 doesn't have RAID, i'd rather shell out the extra $30 for the DS3 model.

The S3 has RAID. So far testing on mine i can boot @ 400 FSB. Stable on the stock cooler so far @ 370 FSB

are u ppl sure that there are no differences in overclocking capabilities of Gigabyte 965p-S3 and 965p-DS3?? i understand there's a difference of solid-caps in DS3 but has the lack of it shown to make any difference in oc'ing capabilities of the S3 (non solid-caps) board?

Did you even read the OP?

I'm thinking about the S3 if I see a drop in my budget, but right now I'm going for the DQ6.

Of course there isn't.

That's the whole point of this thread.
