And I suppose you'll try to get me to build an Intel box? Maybe I'll have the funds sometime in the next year, but until then this computer is only 3 months old and still needs to be pushed to it's full potential.

I'll get a new mobo for me to place my unlocked x2 and see if i can get 4 GHz off it.

I might also try to get a third 450 to replace my HTPC's broken one.

Wish i could get a 570 or a good GPU, but i need to save up for a new SSD for my sig rig.

allow me to drop some knowledge on you my friend thumb.gif

Added BOINC performance gained by implementing an SSD to your system = 0
Added BOINC performance gained by implementing a GTX 570 to your system = 300,000 ppd

I think I just discovered a solution to your problem thumb.giflachen.gifcheers.gif

Well, i got some issues
Main rig with boot disk = 350k PPD
Main rig that cannot boot = 0 PPD

Sad when your main HDD is about to die and you cannot use the backup as a boot HDD frown.gif

And with the current HDD prices, plus that i don't trust importing HDD's (i prefer having local warranty for them) i'd better do the jump for SSD instead biggrin.gif

my friend, if only you lived in the US, I would gladly send you a hard drive so you could get yourself a nice GPU. Sadly, I've experienced shipping across the US border before, I'll never do it again lol

I have experienced it lots of times (how'd you think i got my trader rating tongue.gif) and even though my customs can safely handle most stuff, i'm still wary of getting HDD's and LCD's. And local prices are horribly inflated (for a 500 GB HDD i got to cough up $150).

I wish i could live in the US, though living here has it's perks too tongue.gif

Spent my money on black Friday sales. PII X6 1100t, amd 6950, 8 gbs of ram, new motherboard, and 2 cpu heatsinks, one for main rig and the other for my old case. That one is a pain in the butt since it is a ten year old case with the PSU sitting right over the cpu which means I limited on what coolers I can use for it.

I've been putting off buying a HDD to replace my Caviar Black since it's getting louder and slower, but for the time being the 60GB SSD will have to do for everything :/

As for the rest of the rig, the only thing needing upgrading is graphics, and I'll wait until those new AMD cards come out before deciding which ones to get.
