Can't detect my CPU temperature

Thread Starter
CPU: 64 3500+ "Orleans"
Mobo: PC Chips A33G
HSF: ThermalTake A1744 Venus 12 w/ temp sensor

I'm having trouble with Windows software finding my CPU temperature.

SpeedFan, Everest Home/Ultimate, HMonitor, etc. can't detect any straight up CPU temperature.

SpeedFan can find my "CORE" and Everest Ultimate can find "CPU DIODE"... but why can't any of these programs find my traditional "CPU Temperature" ?

I have no problem seeing my temperature from within the BIOS(AMI). These new AMD motherboards must have a built-in sensor, but anybody have any ideas how to get other software to detect my aftermarket HSF's sensor, or to interpret the built in sensor as "CPU Temperature" ???

Thanks
My System

is that the only 2 temps? have you gone into 'configure' and selected all temps? if not that sounds a bit odd. i always thought the cpu and a sensor, either that or the mobo did.

Can you read your cpu temp in the BIOS?

Yes, I can read my CPU temp in the BIOS but I'd love to be able to see temps within Windows with load.
