[TPU] Intel Core i7-3960X and i7-3930K CPUs Transitioning to C2 stepping in January - Page 7

OK.

So i've had contact with Intel.
Intel denies all fault and links me http://ark.intel.com/products/63697/Intel-Core-i7-%203930K-Processor-(12M-Cache-3_20-GHz)
They removed the VT-d support from the ARK sheet. And claim it never had VT-d support in there....

I'm pretty angry right now. Intel denies all fault and there will be no RMA of the chips for this.

How will I, a lonly consumer, have anything to say against a big company like Intel when they deny that that specsheet even did show vt-d as enabled ?

I've spoken with my cpu retailer as well, and all they did was link me the specsheet that shows the cpu does not have vt-d, and claim like intel, that it never did..

How many people need to have seen that website before they fixed it to expose this dirty cover up ?

This is why I'm getting everything now and purchasing the 3930K later smile.gif

Got mine. Will use it and see what happens. If the need arises, I will put in for an RMA, or see what the warranty says about replacements. Who knows what might happen to my chip, forcing me to RMA it wink.gif

I emailed that link to my retailer when i first contacted them about this and asked if it would be possible to change the cpu for a C2 stepping when they arrive.

However, i just found out my retailer even adverts the cpu as having vt-d. so i screenshot'et the website and emailed them again.
"pasiently" waiting for their respons. but i cant see how they will worm their self out of this one. i demand the new stepping -.-

You're welcome.

Talk about low tactics...Use google cache and if it has it, the internet wayback machine to prove them wrong. It's their actual site and a cached copy, they can hardly claim that it's not there then.
