Get the 6950 for ~250 or the 5970 for around ~300?

6950 gets my vote, plus you have the possibility of unlocking it to a 6970 if your fortunate. I believe it's the Sapphire models that have more chance of that...

I was thinking about getting a Gtx 580 but for 400 dollars that's a bit much. When I can get a 5970 for about 320 from newegg.. Not to mention its a dual gpu card.. Or I could get two 6950's unlock them then crossfire.? But I'm looking more towards a single card as their isn't much room when you have two cards in sli or crossfire.

EDIT: I have a gtx 560 TI in my system right now. So should I just crossfire that?

The 5970 is a lot faster than a 6950. That is the one I'd go for.

Edit: You already have a GTX 560 Ti now? Why not just overclock that. It isn't all that much slower than a 6950, and the new cards are around the corner waiting a bit can't hurt, and prices may actually go down on a few current cards. tongue.gif

I think I'm gonna just sli for the time being.. Because when 7xxx or 6xx series comes out, It's gonna cost an arm and a leg for it. I remember when my friend got the 5870 when it first came out 400 dollars.. .-. So should probably downclock to stock clocks and then sli.
