What 570 for 3 way sli with watercooling

Thread Starter
I currectly have one MSI N570GTX Twin Frozr III PE/OC GeForce GTX 570 (Fermi) 1280MB 320-bit GDDR.

I now have 3 screens and have decided to support it with a 3 way sli setup and was wondering what 570s would be good to get? Im new to this but I thought that they are mostly the same when the cooler taken off for a water cooling setup. So there really wouldn't be a point to buying more of the twin frozr's when I could get one with a cheaper non after market cooler on it? Where does one look for the cheapest cards that will fit the bill?

Also how do I tell if my card is reference or not for when I pick out water blocks?

So I have been reading and it seems like the twin frozr's are non reference. Which means finding a water block to cover the card without an additional solution isn't likely.

So does anyone have a 570 they like that is reference? Something that will match up with a water block easily?

First off, i dont believe the twin frozr II cards are reference (correct me if i am wrong). so you wouldnt be able to get a water block for them, secondly. a 3 way SLI setup wont give you much more performance than a 2 way SLI setup because the 570s dont scale well. so if you are going to do SLI 570s, get a second twin frozr II card, because they have better cooling than stock, and you can overclock them as well. I am reluctant to overclock my ref 570s because they have less VRMs than the twin frozr II and DCII cards.

So you should rethink the watercooling and the SLI options, esp for overclocking. The twin frozr II cards would most likely be safe at 800-900 mhz and above.

And lastly. You can still do 3 monitors with 2 Nvidia graphics cards.

If you are really adamant about water cooling, you would be able to find a GPU only block and then find VRM heatsinks and memory heatsinks for cooling, otherwise not much you can do.

If you got a second gtx 570 TFIII then you would have two great cards for future use as well, and not have cards that dont match like i do. lol
