Chrome was found to monitor the user's behaviour more than needed, that's why I'll never consider it an option.

Here's a universal browser benchmark for you to try:

http://peacekeeper.futuremark.com/

I'm at work and only have access to IE7 or portable variants of web browsers and Chrome is what I use because of the simplicity and the simple Google Sync.

I used Firefox up until 3.8 when it was doing better then Chrome then Chrome seemed to take off ahead of the pack. I'm not saying Chrome is the best now, that's why I'm posting this benchmark for everyone to run and post results if they wish to be a part of a fair browser comparison.

The benchmark will differ by system, so I would recommend testing a couple different browsers on one system so that the choice of browser is the only variable.

It seems to me like Peacekeeper is bias towards Chrome because of the tests it does. Might be wrong though.

I only have access to IE at work, certainly going to be testing this out when I get home tonight and run it on all the browsers I have installed just to see. IE8 just scored a 226, losing out to even the iPhone frown.gif

I haven;t looked in to what tests it does, I just click go and walk away.

What exactly does it do that would make it BIAS towards Chrome? If it is then surely I won't recommend it anymore.

I use both Firefox and Chrome. they both work for me. Firefox used to watch all my online anime and videos and Chrome for my simple daily tasks. I love them Both. And before anyone go asking why I don't use Chrome for my other task. It crashes a lot when I'm watching my anime at times.

I am not sure of the technical details, but I believe it is in the JavaScript algorithm they use that functions much better in Chrome but makes no real world difference.
