Thread Starter
I bought 3 Acer H233H 23' monitors..... I also bought and installed a Radeon HD 6770 1GB GDDR5 Memory video card. It only shows the 2 Monitors can't get the third to work. The 2 monitors are connected to DVI. The third is connected HDMI to Display Port. I puchased a Accell UltraAv DisplayPort to HDMI Adapter.

Adapter LINK.... http://www.amazon.com/Accell-B086B-001B-UltraAV-DisplayPort-Adapter/dp/B001CXV92W/ref=sr_1_6?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1323730339&sr=1-6

What am I doing wrong Here:mad: I can not get the third monitor to enable. I have been trying for hours and can't figure it out.....Please any one help me....I have lots of $$$ invested in this EYEFINITY

This is my system............

You bought the wrong adapter because there's no DP-HDMI Active Adapter. Somebody toly you to buy that one?

You should get this one http://www.amazon.com/Accell-B087B-005B-DisplayPort-Single-Link-Certified/dp/B004071ZX0/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1323731277&sr=1-1

Monitor Setup;

Monitor 1, DVI > DVI > 6770

Monitor 2, DVI > DVI > 6770

Monitor 3, DVI > DVI-DisplayPort Active Adapter > 6770

I've heard rumours that adapter is falsely advertised, even a customer on your link says just that.
Quote:
This product says that it is an active adapter in 3 places on the packaging. Accell's website lists this as an active adapter. ATI includes this in a list of active adapters on their website.

However, this is NOT an active adapter. If used with Eyefinity it will count as a legacy monitor, not as DP. Beware.

As a passive adapter it works quite well, image quality is fine and it has a sturdy construction. Only 1 star because manufacturer falsely claims this is an active adapter

Is this rumor from a reliable source or someone who knows what he is talking about or just simply rumors? And which adapter to be specifics?

Seems weird... It does say AMD Eyefinity in the picture. And it does state the product on this list. I wonder if its something wrong with how he is setting the monitors up.
Nope nevermind it really helps when I actually read what I'm posting...
It lists it as a AMD Eyefinity certified dongle but as a PASSIVE dongle not active.
Sorry mate you ordered the wrong one in order to get things working it seems like you will have to go DVI or VGA according to AMD's list.
And DVI = HDMI in video quality.
