Installed new graphics card and some problems with temp indicators.

So I just installed a new (to me) graphics card and now my temp indicators are all askew...Like all of them. Any idea what might cause that?

To be more specific I mean they are showing impossibly cool temps. And one of my fans isn't recognized by some programs whereas it is by others and this wasn't like that before...

Hi Phen1863. What kind of temperature readings are you receiving from the graphics card? What utility is being used to get these readings?

Sorry for the late reply. I was using a number of tools to monitor temps. AMD overdrive, HWmonitor, and cpu tweaker.

HW monitor was reporting correct temp readings while the others were not. I rebooted and everything went back to normal (that is to say the other two also gave accurate readings after reboot.) it continues to happen from time to time however and its all system temps, not just the vid card. But HW monitor always reports accurate temps (in the sense that they seem to be the most reasonable and also match the others after reboot)

so its just weird. Not sure whats causing it and why its so random.

Download the latest GPU-Z and don't open so many hardware monitoring at the same time. GPU-Z under the sensor tab is the most accurate readings so far and there's no reason to use 3 or 4 for the same purpose at once.

If you added new graphics card, unistalled all graphics related drivers and softwares. Then install the drivers for the new card. That should solve it.
