also, dont bother with 570's. they have crappy perf/price ratio. youre better off with a 6970 at the same price.

If you really want a decent bang for your buck go with 2 560tis, they are pretty beast when there together. Id go with the 2gb models.

Im just a Nvidia man myself, nothing against the other side at all its just what ive always purchased. I hear great things the about how the 6XXX series performs.

i always go along the theory of buy the 1 best most expensive card you can afford.

You can then sli in the future if you need to.

If you buy 2 weaker cards now ur ****ed in the future if u need more power.

as far as ati vs nvidia swings and roundabout there m8.

That 5850 at the geeks.com for $149 is a really good deal. It'll perform well at 1080p. I'd consider one of those actually. You don't need to spend $400 IMO, but if you must spend $400 get a gtx 570.
