Great amount of help needed. Troubleshot every-last problem. Still get "Blue Screen"

Hey guys, I'm going to make this brief because I dont want to spend lots of time , gotta hit the hay soon wink.gif

So what's going on with me, is that I bought my computer from IBuyPower from California, prebuilt. (i7.870, xfx 5850, haf 932, 750W PSU; the works eh).
So a little down the road (bought it 1 year ago), my computer started getting blue screens, didn't think much of it, thought CCleaner would clean up stuff (dont know why). It didn't.

After that, around the summer i was on a "blue screen" streak and might get them up to like 3 times in 1 night (few hours). And even my computer started cutting out, such as just going black and restarting. So I then a few days ago bought a new PSU, XFX 1000W Pro Series Black Limited Edition (Platinum rating!!). I figured that since my PSU cuts out, that it corrupts files, which in turn gives my Blue screens.

After installing the PSU and some new cable management occured tongue.gif .... I re-install windows, deleted all info (saved skyrim saves!), wiped all drives basically. So I started downloading windows updates and then hit the hay. So I get home from school today and then I'm playing BF3... yeah guess what.. BLUE SCREEN. So I'm totally lost, I have no idea what could be causing it.
I believe that the component to blame is the OS. Maybe I have a crappy OS? I'm not sure. I do have Win 7 64-bit.

But These bluescreens 90% of the time happen when I'm playing Runescape for example and then boot up a video on youtube or FaceBook. Right as i click the "Play" button, i will get a blue screen (SOMETIMES). This is just when the Blue screens happen.

I also sometimes get it where my computer just "locks up". Where I cant move the mouse cursor, basically the screen is frozen and no keys work. Which results in a shut-off or a restart.

Please help, its like a god darn leech and I just am unable to fix this problem.

I have reformatted over 5 times, and still I get these blue screens. Help.

Edit: I forgot to mention, I have also removed the XFX 5850 and put in a GTX 580.

P.S. I have NO important things on my files of my PC, so I reformatting is no big deal.

From what you're saying, it doesn't seem to be software related.
Since you're not overclocking the CPU I would try to check your videocard.
Are you OCing that?
Which one is it? an xfx5850 (as you stated on the thread) or an evga 580gtx (as is shown on your rig specs)?

My brother bought a PC from them a few years ago and had a lot of issues with BSODs when he 1st got it. I tried everything to help him with it but he ended up having to send it back to them and let them take care of it. IIRC the HDD was bad in his. Maybe try running some HDD health program like Seatools or something and see what results you get.

I apologize for that mix-up, I have swapped my Video card AS WELL. I now have a GTX 580.

i had similar issues with my i5 650, i replaced my ram and it stopped. This could be a number of things you just need to find the culprit
