First dive into watercooling; your advice on all-in-1-kits? this kit?

I wanted to possibly water cool my current system; not only for looks but for performance.

I was reading about the concepts and parts and such, and came across some all-in-1-kits from FrozenCPU.

I think some of the pro watercoolers persaude against these, is that true?

What are your views on this specific kit?
http://www.frozencpu.com/products/12368/ex-wat-164/Ek_H30_Supreme_HF_360_EN_Advanced_Liquid_Cooling_Kit_EK-KIT_H3O_-_Supreme_HF_360_EN.html?tl=g30c83

I was wondering if the tubing for this is clear and it looks like it includes UV blue dye.

Is it better to get solid color tubing? I wanted something extreme to give a nice flashy, but original look, so I wasthinking of a more original color.

Should I move up toward a full-tower or do you think I could manage with my mid-tower Obsidian?

What are your views? Any help is much appreciated. thumb.gif

I would get the XSPC rasa kit with the rx 360 rad instead. I think you can fit a 360 rad inside the top.Just get better fans like the XSPC 1650 rpm fans or gentle typhoon 1850rpm fans.
Also dont use dyes. If you want uv use uv colored tubing.

I'm digging that kit, I like it alot.

I don't see any tubing, is that the only thing excluded? I'm not an expert on that, is it as simple as buying the tubing + that kit and your good to go?

tubing should(i think) be included but from what I hear it will be better to buy your own(primochill for example)

the rasa kit comes with decent clear tubing. It has everything you need for a cpu loop exept the coolant (distilled water). I think they even include a free killcoil in some places.

if you want color, either buy colored tubing or mayhems dye, it won't gunk in your blocks like some dyes do.

Do you think the clear tubing + dye looks better or just colored tubing?

do you have to add additives to the Distilled water or can you just buy a mixture that has everything inside the fluid needed?

I personally love white primochill lrt. Looks awesome. If i can find the pic of my rig in the watercooling club I will post it here so you can see the white tubing.

Here is the link to my rig with white tubing. I originally used black tubing but it was too much black with interior of my case. I love the way white/black/blue go together.

I never water cooled but from my understanding go color tubing+distilled water for a color effect. Or clear tubing with colored LED fans ect.

Edit: You only need the distilled water you add nothing to it.

FYI, your case will only fit a dual/240mm rad in the top, not a 360mm. Not without without modding anyways:)

IMO it does not matter if you pick the EK H3O HF 240mm or the XSPC Rasa RX240, they are both good performers, but you have to consider if you want separate pump and reservoir, for more silent operation, or a pump/res bay combo for ease of installation and use. EK = separate res/pump. XSPC = Pump/res bay combo.
