psu for sli 260 s advice

Thread Starter
Hi there overclockers i'm planing on adding an extra 260 to my system along with a new psu

I have this one in mind by xfx, http://www.dabs.com/products/xfx-650-watt-core-edition-full-wired-power-supply-7NSX.html?src=3 (xfx 650w core edition)

it seems quite cheap for what it is but ive been told seasonic make xfxs units and they use all jap capacitors.

Would this power supply be comfortable running the 260s in my system (specs in sig).

If anyone can suggest any other power supplys around that price margin it would be great, but with this one having 4x 6 pins i think its a great buy.

cheers in advance Ryan.

This is a little more expensive: http://www.dabs.com/products/xfx-750w-black-edition-single-rail-semi-modular-psu-7TD0.html?q=XFX%20750W&src=16 but can handle almost any SLI/Crossfire that you want.

It's a solid unit and it will comfortably handle that setup.. but I'd add a few more pounds to that budget and get this, it's modular, slightly more efficiency and it's a superior design.

I had two GTX260's om a corsair TX750 with quite some power to spare. A decent 650 will handle it fine. I would go with anything from the XFX, Corsair, Seasonic or Antec Earthwatts/Quattro range.

I definitely recommend the thermaltake psu. I have their 775watt and its ice cold no matter how much power I draw through it! Plus it's super quiet biggrin.gif
